ALIMA has been working in Cameroon’s Far North Region since May 2016. In the Mokolo health district, ALIMA supports pediatric and nutritional care at the district hospital.

Since May 2016, our teams have hospitalized nearly 6,400 children for pediatric care and more than 2,700 children for nutritional care in this hospital.

Marie Aoudi, a nurse who has worked for ALIMA since 2016, works in the Mokolo district hospital's pediatric and nutrition intensive care units. Watch this video to learn more about the work she does on a daily basis and the challenges that the medical teams face.

ALIMA’s activities in Cameroon are funded by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), Malteser International, the Inter-ministerial Food Aid Committee (CIAA), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the French government’s Crisis and Support Centre.
