“This is a very exciting and encouraging moment,” said ALIMA’s President Dr. Richard Kojan. “This exhibition is an opportunity to highlight ALIMA’s efforts and commitment in the fight against Ebola, and the new tools we are implementing to better care for our patients. It is also an opportunity to continue to evolve and improve treatment.”

The CUBE, an innovation developed by ALIMA, allows for more individualized, rapid and secure care for patients suffering from Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers, such as Ebola, and an improved andsafer treatment experience for health workers. (Read the Lancet’s article on the CUBE).

Currently deployed by ALIMA in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where the world’s second biggest Ebola outbreak ever continues to affect the country, the CUBE offers the promise of ever-better response efforts during outbreaks and is saving lives.

Many guests at the World Health Assembly, including Her Royal Highness Queen Letizia Ortiz (of Spain), Her Royal Highness Princess Dina Mired (of Jordan), Dr. Michael Ryan (executive director of WHO’s emergencies program), and multiple Ministers of Health, praised the CUBE and the impact it is having in the field.

The CUBE will be on display in Geneva until May 24.
